Filmclub: Nina’s Tragedies
Our filmclub’s second movie is made in Israel in 2003. Nina’s Tragedies is the winner of 11 Israeli Academy Awards. It is a strikingly original and bittersweet comedy about a young boy coming-of-age. He has been asked by his wild, recently divorced mother to move in with his Aunt Nina to help comfort her following the death of her husband in a terrorist attack.
The 106 minute movie will be shown in Hebrew, with English subtitles. View the trailer below:
The free viewing starts at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, August 12 in the synagogue’s multi-purpose room.
As usual, free, organic popocorn will be served.
