Filmclub report 2
The viewing second film we’ve shown in our filmclub two weeks ago was 180% more successful than the first one, i.e. the audience consisted of 9 people. Two of them learned about the event and showed up based on my announcement in a local, Santa Rosa, online forum. That gives me extra satisfaction, because I can see it as the result of the time I spent with posting invitations on seven email lists or forums. Based on the look on the faces of people the film, A Miracle in Cracow, delighted everybody. There was also a few minutes of lively, appreciative discussion about it after it ended.
The pop-corn machine that Elisabeth van Nuys gave us was tested and found working great. Thus we all had fresh, hot, non-mircowaved, pop-corn. We even found salt in one of cabinets. Sorry, no butter; that would be too messy.
I would like to thank everyone who attended and also for stacking the chairs after the showing. I had to take care of a few things when the discussion was over and by the time I returned to the room the chairs were all collected by the viewers. I was impressed and thankful.
Deepest apologies that the cancellation notice did not reach in time the three people who came last week to see Walk on Water.
