THE REDEDICATION OF OUR TORAH SCROLLS

Rabbi RueThank you, Rabbi Rue, for coming from Los Angleles to complete the repair of our four Torah scrolls, and thank you to the generous members of the congregation and community who made it possible. Our Siyum marked the completion of this effort, and in the process we learned a lot, celebrated, ate good food and enjoyed our talented musicians. Mazeltov to everybody!

SHAVUOT: A Night of Community Study

Tuesday, May 14 from 7 PM- 2 AM
Congregation Beth Ami, 4676 Mayette in Santa Rosa

Informal study will continue until dawn! This is our night of revelation - when the Children of Israel received Torah. And we are receiving it still today. Join rabbis and teachers from around Sonoma County as we look at the ways in which Torah is still coming at us; how our inherited and innovated wisdom informs who we are in the world.
Delicious dairy treats will be served. Childcare available until 9 PM. Formal study sessions run until 2 AM, after which informal study will continue for as long as teachers and students can hold out, ending with shacharit at dawn! Teachers include:

  • Carolyn Shoshana Fershtman, PhD
  • Rabbi Jerry Danzig
  • Rabbi George Gittleman
  • Reb Judith Goleman
  • Reb Irwin Keller
  • Rabbi Stephanie Kramer
  • Rabbi Mordecai Miller
  • Sarah Miller
  • David and Andrea Rubinstein
  • Rabbi Mendel Wolvovsky

This event is strictly scent-free and smoke-free. Please, please, be mindful so this holy night of study can be safe for everyone
